  1. I agree with you on that one, what's so different between those three leaders. They are all brutal leaders, ruling non-democratic countries. The only really good non-democratic country nowadays seems to be China. I don't understand why it was only Saddam who was sought by the USA and UK, might have something to do with the OIL in Iraq which is almost absent from North Korea and Zimbabwe.
  2. Yeah, I wasn't alive around that time either. The labour party haven't done a lot during the recession to help the tax payer except with changing the VAT rate to 15% from 17.5%. I think the Labour government is rather lazy in comparison to other governments that do a lot more. Our government doesn't listen to the people, most of us don't want that war in Afghanistan as we only became involved due to the U.S.A.
  3. Yeah, I agree there. I think that the Conservatives will definitely win, however, they may have tougher competition from other parties as opposed to an election in the 90s where it was really only the Conservatives and the Labour party who got the majority. I've never liked Gordon Brown, I thought that he did a better job as the chancellor. I think he would be a better Prime Minister if Tony Blair hadn't have left a lot of problems in the country for Gordon Brown to sort out - like the Iraqi War and several other things. I also think that the Labour Party has lost it's original purpose in supporting the lower classes, I haven't seen many things that they have done to support them.
  4. Change it back to the way it was before . . . ? I like the new forum reorganisation, it was a long time coming and is better than before. Forums need a change every once in a while. I agree with S-V though but even before the forum was reorganised, people struggled to find the modding section.
  5. That's quite a good video, I like how you made the start of the the video to look like a good action film (with the cars driving around). However, the video sort of dragged on a little bit at certain points but apart from that the video looked quite smart, especially since you recorded on your Xbox 360.
  6. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Introduction to the game as said on the official website. Welcome to Vice City. Welcome to the 1980s. Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead. His only answer is to fight back and take over the city himself. From the decade of big hair, excess and pastel suits comes a story of one man's rise to the top of the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Vice City is a huge urban sprawl ranging from the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, and is the most varied, complete and alive digital city ever created. Combining non-linear gameplay with a character driven narrative, you arrive in a town brimming with delights and degradation and are given the opportunity to take it over as you choose. Continued here.Main Characters Main Characters Voice of Tommy Vercetti Ray Liotta Sonny Forelli Tom Sizemore Lance Vance Philip Michael Thomas Ken Rosenberg William Fichtner Colonel Cortez Robert Davi Ricardo Diaz Luis Guzmán Avery Carrington Burt Reynolds Kent Paul Danny Dyer Umberto Robina Danny Trejo Phil Cassidy Gary Busey Mitch Baker Lee Majors Mercedes Cortez Fairuza Balk Jezz Torrent (Love Fist) Kevin McKidd Willy (Love Fist) Mark Hanlon Dick (Love Fist) Peter McKay Percy (Love fist) Russell Foreman Weapons Melee Weapons Weapons Description Brass knuckles are slightly more powerful than the standard fist. You only need one or two swings to waste someone. The screwdriver can quite easily damage vehicles and waste people. A great choice for a starter melee weapon. You can buy these from hardware stores around Vice City The hammer is just the same as the screwdriver however it can inflict slightly more damage on things. This can also be bought from hardware stores across Vice City. The golf club can seriously harm a person and destroy a vehicle, it is quite powerful. You can obtain one of these for free by driving a caddy or going to the golf club. The nightstick has almost the same power as the gold club. You can obtain one by killing a cop. The baseball bat is the same as the golf club if not more powerful. The knife is good for hacking people, however you cannot slit peoples throats in GTA Vice City. Meat Cleaver: same as the knife Machete: same as knife The Katana is similar to the knife but it is even more powerful. It can hack peoples' heads off after one or two swings The chainsaw is the most powerful melee weapon. People run away if it makes even a noise in the street. Pistols Weapons Description This is basically the most standard gun in the game, every police officer carries it. It is a very common gun and can bought in most of the Ammu-Nation stores. The official name of this particular pistol is called the Colt .45. The Colt Python is more effective as a weapon than the Colt .45 as it causes more damage to the victim. It can kill with one bullet, however it only carries 8 bullets per round. Shotguns Weapons Description The Chrome Shotgun is most common shotgun you can find. You will receive one with five rounds as soon as you enter a police car. It can do a heavy amount of damage and can often kill a person with one shot. The Stubby Shotgun can do slightly more damage than the Chrome Shotgun but it isn't as fast as the SPAZ-12's firing. It can also kill someone with one shot. The SPAZ-12 Shotgun is the most powerful shotgun in the game. It will take two to four rounds to blow up a vehicle. Sub-Machine Guns Weapons Description The Tec-9 isn't the best of all the guns but it has the highest amount of capacity for bullets. The Ingram Mac 10 is slightly better with more rapid firing. It is a better choice than the Tec-9. You can also run and fire at the same time and it is quite cheap too. So it's a good gun to get a hold of. The Uzi 9mm isn't as good as the Mac 10 however, it has enough power to wipe out a crowd quite fast. It is quite popular so is worth using in GTA Vice City. The MP5 is the best Sub-Machine gun in GTA Vice City. You can wipe out a crowd of people quite fast with this so it is worth using. Assault Rifles Weapons Description The Ruger isn't as good as the other assault rifle and is most likely the first assault rifle you will encounter. 1st Person aiming isn't all that great and the gun's firing power is rather low. Not a good gun overall. The Colt M4 is more effective than the Ruger but it still isn't good due to the first person aiming. It has a better firing power and is recommended as a gun for under 3 wanted stars. Heavy Weaponry Weapons Description The Rocket Launcher is self explanatory. It shoots rockets, once these rockets hit something or someone then there is an explosion... BOOM! It is a great gun to use in police chases of virtually any level. You cannot travel on foot fast with this thing though. The Colt M60 is arguably the second most powerful gun in the game. You can kill with one shot with this gun and it'll take four or five shots to blow up a car. It isn't used by anyone other than Tommy so you'd have an advantage against almost everyone else in the game. The Flamethrower is also self explanatory, it shoots out flames. It is quite a powerful gun. especially with big crowds. It causes death almost instantaneously. The minigun is the most powerful gun in the entire game, if not the entire GTA series. It will annihilate anyway in your way including people, cars and any other vehicle. You can buy one of these off of Phil Cassidy later in the game. Sniper Rifles Weapons Description The Sniper Rifle is the most basic Sniper Rifle. It is good for shooting from a distance as it has a scope on it and will blow someone's head off if you shoot it - but you have to aim for their head for this to happen. The PSG-1 Laser Sniper Rifle is almost the same as the Sniper Rifle. It is better than the other one. It has a better aim, a better range and comes with a laser. This is the better choice although there isn't that much difference between the two. Projectiles Weapons Description The grenade is the most common projectile and arguably the most powerful. It's a good weapon to use in crowded areas and it gives you around 3 seconds to run away before it explodes The tear gas isn't really an effective weapon as it doesn't kill people. It aids you by creating a cloud of smoke in a certain area where you aim and reduces visibility within the smoke for you run away or kill people in the gas. This can only be found behind the Police building in Washington Beach The molotov cocktail is quite a powerful projectile, you can throw it and when it hits the ground it bursts into flames, burning victims to death. This is the same as a grenade, however you detonate it by remote control. Health and Armor There are two types of Power Ups in GTA Vice City: Armor and Health. Having health is vital for completing the game. If Tommy runs out of health then 'Wasted' will show up on the screen and will begin to fade out. After that, Tommy will be at the nearest hospital, losing all of his weapons and having to pay $100 for the treatment. Health is basically the amount of damage Tommy can take, if it goes below 10 then it is advisable that you get pick up a power up. Armor isn't a necessity for completing the game, however it is recommended for Tommy to endure battles for longer. Picking up an armour power up will increase Tommy's likelihood of surviving in a battle by 100 points - it's like having 200 health. There are ways you can increase the maximum armour and health limit: If you complete 10 levels of the Pizza Delivery side missions then you will get 150 health points. If you complete 12 levels of the Vigilante side missions then you will get 150 armour points. If you complete the game 100%, you will get 200 health and armour points. Here is a list of locations where you pick up health and armor: Click Here Please note that all locations indicated with a star (*) are places in which obtaining the power up costs Tommy. Places without the star (*) are free. 7. It's not bad for a first attempt but isn't all that realistic either. It's good though, better than what I could probably do.
  8. Thomas.

Well done Matt and good luck!
  9. The money robbing government are bring up the expenses row again. Apparently 80 MPs are fighting their expenses repayments. Their greed has led them to become even more greedier, who did the people elect? Greedy bastards (making up the majority of the government) or MPs who actually represent the people (rarity). They were probably thinking about the lack of tuition fees in Scotland in comparison to England where you have to pay tuition fees.
  10. Earthquake? Was that some sort of joke? :P

  11. About 30 mins ago (3:55pm) in front of my house.
  12. Me competing with Gerard and Sherman. In 2008, I haven't really changed much though. April 2009 on the Island of Mull, Argyll & Bute.
  13. I know Latvia quite well. The USA might not have been as well known back then than it is now but much like the British and French empires, it's status will fall within the next 20 to 50 years when countries like China, Japan and Russia rise. So what if it is breaking the very basis of what America was based upon, if the law of the USA, or w/e it is, didn't change at all during the 300 years of its existence then the US wouldn't have as much human rights as it does now. We're living in an ever changing world. As for the insurance part of your point, you won't need insurance at all if the health system gets nationalised - well only if that country follows what the UK has done.
  14. I have an American cousin (3 times removed or something), I met her about 6 years ago, she's sort of cool. I haven't really seen her since, my family really only lost contact with her. Apparently we are related because someone in my dad's side of my family moved over to the Thirteen Colonies of Britain in the 1700s. My family has some sort of history of migrating to the USA, my grandparents live there and my aunt used to live there. Damn, you're Jamaican?? Sweet, you should make friends with Little Jacob. *facepalm*
  15. I can come in May and virtually any weekend after July 11th. What I could do, if Mpilk (since he lives near Edinburgh) wants to, is discuss with him what we could do, i.e. what flight, train or coach. I may be too young for you guys but it's worth a shot, besides I've been wanting to visit my cousins for a while now and I could do that if I do this... Another couple of suggestions for the location from me are: York Newcastle Edinburgh (Lazy me) or alternatively you could arrange several trips throughout 2010 to different cities to let people who can't go to one place, go to another and meet you. Although far fetched.
  16. I wish I could, I'm on holiday and I would be allowed to go to London in July. I'll probably go to the one after this one, I doubt it would cost me much, about £20 a flight with EasyJet or Ryanair.
  17. It's in NO way terrorism, nobody was hurt in the USA. Terrorism is when someone or some people commit a deliberate act of punishment or death on a country, this guy is neither. The website clearly needs better protection, I thought the USA could provide that. The fact that the USA wants Gary McKinnon to be tried in America seriously disturbs me and the overuse of their power as a world superpower. The US thinks it can get what it wants from other countries. The hacker is a BRITISH citizen, living in BRITAIN but committed his crime on AMERICA whilst in BRITAIN so the USA should not get the guy taken over to the US. If the US were concerned about the security of their country then why doesn't it do more than take people away from other countries to do this. Their site clearly needs to have better protection. ...and will probably happen again, they don't really learn from their mistakes.
  18. Another reason that I dislike Scotland is because they hate the English due to history and politics. They hate the British government but what I doubt they realise is that both Gordon Brown and Tony Blair are Scottish. I am completely fine with Wales though, Northern Ireland is almost completely pointless.
  19. I voted for "It works fine but isn't the standard we expect". I don't really think the hospitals are up to scratch, the employees are fine but the NHS hospitals are filthy. Every fortnight we get some sort of news report about a dirty hospital and how someone's been infected by it. But apart from that it's fine. In my town, the local hospital used to have an Accident & Emergency system but that was moved 15 miles away to Stirling. I was distraught a few years ago about it, if I were to have a broken neck or something I would want to go to the Falkirk hospital which is far closer than the Stirling one. This is where the NHS's bad organisation comes into play. Luckily a new hospital is due to be completed in Falkirk next year. What I like about the Nationalised Healthcare system is the free prescriptions when and if you need it. You could simply go to your doctor's and ask for a subscription for a flu and all you have to do is go to a pharmacy and get the drugs.
  20. http://en.wikipedia....l_homicide_rate Out of the five Anglophone countries mentioned above, the United States is in lead, then the United Kingdom, then New Zealand, then Canada and then Australia. Also note that England and Wales would come somewhere between Canada and Australia. Edit: @ Bear: I hate Scotland anyway. But I see what you mean there, I can get almost any prescription from my local doctor for free, whether it be really expensive to buy in England or really cheap. My mum has asthma and she gets her refills for free all the time. It would probably save her a lot each year.
  21. My name's a very common English name as well but I am the only one in my year with that surname. There are a lot of odd surnames going around, especially in my school and others I know: Welch, Inglis, Shek (Chinese), Penman, Donoghue, Doyle, Chroston etc. I have a very English surname and a common forename in England, Scotland and Wales. I think now the most common is around M in the alphabet. I noticed that S, P and the vowels are quite uncommon.
  22. Yeah, it is quite bizarre. I heard there was over 20,000 deaths in London in 2008 with regards to knife crime, the police are cracking up on knife crime in Britain but I doubt they'll be able to even get near to resolving it. Also, another thing that is getting me is the devolved Scottish Parliament, I really do not like it. I preferred the days when Scottish Labour were in control. But next we're getting a referendum on independence when most of the population of Scotland only want more powers given to it. I wrote an essay about it in English several months ago. It would be illegal for this referendum to go through. If Scotland were to become independent then it would no longer be a member of the G8, EU, NATO nor the UN, it would have to somehow make its own army. I really don't think the SNPs have thought about the prospects of independence thoroughly.
  23. Yeah, that's turning into a good debate. I'll probably keep posting in it for a while, it interests me.
  24. My last name is 'Young'. I hate it because my forename is Thomas so I'm at the end of the register in all of my classes. Also, a true fact: I used to be called "TFY765", although the 765 part was random, the TFY part is my initials.
  25. I was watching a documentary about the Columbine attacks about 10 years ago. It detailed the far fetched differences between the United States (example used in the documentary was Michigan) and Canada (the example here was Windsor). Both Michigan and Windsor have a river and an international border separating both countries. On the Michigan side there is a safety issue in regards to guns, people have to lock their houses whereas in Windsor, Canada there is not a safety issue with regards to gun crime, and people don't need to lock their doors. The shows how backwards the United States is on gun control, almost half the population of the United States own a gun of some sort. Homicides by gun (% of all homicides): United States: 65% England and Wales: 8% Canada: 34% Australia: 16% New Zealand: 13% Perhaps if nations followed the United Kingdom's way of handling with gun crime, there might not be such as big a problem with guns in particular countries. Canada is in a unique position being neighbours of the United States whereas the others mainly follow British or Commonwealth Law.
