  1. Jack(ass) Thompson will accomplish one thing, drawing interest in GTA4 from people who might not have payed attention to it otherwise. J(A)T is a crackpot who just wants fame & fortune & thinks he'll get it attacking a video game. I remember when Jerry Falwell & "Moral Majority" started his crusade against Larry Flynt (publisher of Hustler magazine). Flint ran some parody adds poking fun at Falwell in Hustler & Falwell circulated copies of the add in a MM newsletter trying to rally support in his fight w/ Flynt. Eventually this landed in the US Supreme Court & Falwell lost. Ironically, Flynt counter sued for copyright infringement (the MM newsletter) & won. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Flynt If you didn't read the entire "Legal Battles" section, the Supreme Court decided public figures couldn't recover damages from a "parody" J(A)T is SOL (s*** outta luck). DP - Nice. Start an internet petition that he has to do that in front of his local courthouse, I'll sign it.

UT rules!!! I still like to fire up UT "Game of the Year". It includes the tools to make your own maps & skins. One thing I noticed, you can shange the names of the maps to open them up to "Deathmatch". Look at the name & the first 2 letters determine what kind of game they're for, CT = Capture the flag, etc. Change them to DM & you can play death match in them. I'll see if I can get Ichybon to get on & post more links, he lives UT.
  3. Sounds interesting, details on these missions?
  4. Kinda remember the Thunderstone, Ash figured out Pikachu didn't want to evolve so the never did. I think they were just starting to get along & Ash didn't want to piss him off.
  5. I hate my cell phone. Worthless POS keeps turning off the ringer & I miss semi important calls. I hate the phone company (land line) even more. Last time I was in their office, I'm pretty sure they were calling the cops by the time I left.
  6. If you haven't found it already, your "gift" is in the DS forum.
  7. The Attack Boat is almost as fast as the Picklefork or Jet Boat & actually faster than the Cigarette Gunboat (pirates can catch the CG). It's just my preference. For the Bodog Stampede, when you use it for distribution, select a weapon or your henchtard won't shoot at anyone chasing you. If the Babylon club is attacked (usually 15 or 19 attackers), get out & use your blind rage. Most of them show up inside the building. Have just over $100 mil & just bought the last exotic (Montana Arms), it has a couple extra little surprises you might find useful.
  8. The handling of that plane is different than the other flying missions, made me cuss too. JS has the best advice, just stick w/ it.
  9. 789 & time to f*** stuff up! Later.
  10. The Attack Boat is the ONLY way to come back from the Islands, keeps ahead of the pirates better than the other boats.
  11. So it's the latest Chevy Corvair? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Corvair That's the car Ralph Nader (probably an ancestor of Jack Thompson) killed on safety back in the '60s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unsafe_at_Any_Speed
  12. Mel - BTW, welcome & enjoy.
  13. As the top of the food chain, we have an obligation the treat livestock in a humane way. I believe hunting (for food) is your right. In the US, it goes back to the founding of our country. To a point, it's necessary to keep wild animal populations under control to prevent disease & starvation. I have no respect for "Trophy" hunters who hunt down & kill an animal for "sport". I agree w/ American Indians that it should be done for food & w/ respect. One aspect of cloning is that eventually we will be able to clone parts of an animal, specifically the parts we eat. The livestock would live a full & relaxed life, probably in a petting zoo like setting & only face the discomfort of blood draws for the cloning process. Think of it as a big meat garden. Animal cruelty pisses me off too.
  14. Machamp. http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/068.shtml you were close.
  15. Okay, so it's the US Midwest in the mid '80s. I was getting a lot of my life experience & at the time I was cutting firewood for $20 a day + meals. Vietnamese refugees were pouring into the area & decent jobs were scarce (I've grown up a little since then). One day after me & my partner spent the day freezing off our butts & breaking our backs, we hit a cheap "all you can eat" place. We sit down to relax & eat our meal when 8 of these guys come in in new clothes & being loud & a bit obnoxious. Finally, my partner has had enough & decides to leave before he gets loud & obnoxious (he is a Vietnam vet & an ex Detroit biker, Hell's Angels had nothing on him). He says "I'll be in the f***ing truck!" & walks out. That's when it hit me. "Gimme a minute" I tell him as he walks away. What happened next was precision timing. At the right moment I got up & walked 10 steps toward the door (& the table these guys were sitting at). Just as I stepped by them I dropped a SBD (silent but deadly). I actually felt it roll down my leg, was pleasently surprised when I confirmed nothing solid came out. My partner was waiting for me by the door (he realized I was up to something) when it happened. (Bear in mind I don't speak Vietnamese, but this a short version of what I heard) "Hi-ya, hu-toO." "Hun-tau toy-ya" "TI-YA TU-TA!!" "DOY-YA-DUNG-DUNG-DUNG!!! It almost broke out into a fistfight, they were arguing over who farted. I got to the door & these guys were screaming at each other over it & my partner asked "What the hell did you DO!?" "Remember that thing I did earlier in the truck that you said you'd kill me if I ever did it again?" (at 70 MPH going down the road.) "YESS!!!
  16. I think it belonged to Fred Flintstone. Seriously, a low end Acer Aspire, on-board audio & video, etc. Vice city looks good on it but I'm surprised SA even loaded.
  17. Wasn't sure, too busy looking for Jesse.....
  18. Thanks for the clarification. Like I said, it's been awhile. The endless sprint could also help & "Punk Noodles" is quick easy $$. your last post sums it up nicely.
  19. Felini, Bacanari or Rattler as they come available. They are usually available while you're still in Little Havana & speed is a definite advantage. The Brahma is okay for taking product to the storehouse, but you can't shoot from it (in PC version). At rep level 7, spend the $$$ for the Bodog Stampede, that's the one I use for my distribution. It'll be the best $8 mil you ever spent. Pro tip - For smaller buys (up to $10,000) try to get your deal under the bridge East of the bank in Little Havana, he only has one bodyguard. If the game shows the deal somewhere else, cancel out of the menu (before you accept) & drive a few blocks, call up the BUSINESS menu again. Usually it will move the deal to another location. If you have the Attack Boat, use it (your henchman never leaves the M-60) & you're covered if the deal goes bad. Get the Babylon Club as soon as you can & don't waste time on selling to street dealers. BC pays up to $117 an once w/our the risk of a bad deal. I usually sell out my grams when I have 10,000 or so ($1 mil + payday). You will get it all back & more!
  20. 9999 Bring back the post countdown?
  21. Yeah, right before they bumbled into the bedrills. Ho-oh? Not sure, it's been a while.
  22. Come to the dark side, Dmac_91 has chicken & KK will make fresh chocolate chip cookies! Nuts, 1 AM & that chicken looks good. Later guys.
