Sorry for the double post, keyboard just died & had to shut down for a minute. I presume you restarted w/ the downgraded script without problems.

I think the downgrader changes your MAIN.SCR file. Save files are only compatible to the script they were made with so you'll need to start over. I don't know if the downgraded version is the same script as V1. What you're describing sounds like a save being incompatible w/ your script. I know it doesn't help but at least you know why you're crashing.

Nice. Do you have much of a personal collection? You've mentioned the strict policy on weapons in the UK & I was wondering if you belong to any gun clubs (Besides Her Majesty's Royal Service).

Net slang makes sense for text messaging, but that's about it. I have a full size keyboard & screen so I stick to plain English. I don't have R2D2 to translate for me, so I'm guessing at a lot of what people are saying. Sometimes I can BS my way through it & some times you you catch me.

I'm thinking you have a corrupted savefile. As for mission skipper, I think there might be mission select in some of the script mods, but haven't messed w/ any of them so I couldn't tell you anything useful. The only helpful suggestion I can offer is try w/ a save from earlier in the game. I know it's no help but I know what it's like to have go back and do it over because of a glitch.

Are you running any mods? Have you saved after using cheats? Both of these could be affecting your game.

How much of the work are you willing to do yourself? For paint, hit the local NAPA parts store. It's been a while but they used to carry "Fleet paint", from $30-$40 a gallon. High gloss fast dry enamel. Fast as in you shoot it, put the paint gun down & it's dry to the touch (no pressure). Take a little time & get nice results for around $100. Since it's a '94, I'll presume it's not OBD II computer. Of course I won't say you could replace the catalytic converter w/ a straight pipe as that would be illegal but if you did, it won't affect your computer (No downstream o2 sensor). Redneck engineering would be taking the single exhaust from a small v8 (or v6 if you have a 4-CYL) & graft it on just past your head (or "Y") pipe. Could probably get that on the cheap at the junkyard.

If you're thinking The plane from "Stowaway", it's an interior like a savehouse. You'd have to create an ENEX (entrance/exit) in a script file or possibly an IPL mod. There's a "Hidden interiors" mod.

The game Mafia had a good take on the cops. Switch cars when the cops don't see you & stay outta sight till the heat dies down. Was pretty good w/ the proxy meter in "Scarface", maybe use one for a court day if you are busted. Hit it right & your acquitted, wrong & it sets your fine.

On the ground? FCR 900, also absent. The NRG is a little faster but the 900 handles better (at least for me).
