If you have a MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop, right click it & open PROPERTIES, that might tell you which card you have. If it doesn't, take a break from it for a few, as it is obviously starting to piss you off (been there, done that). If your computer still can't see the audio card, either it lost the driver or the card died (been there, done that too). Either way, you'll have to open it up to see what card you have. If you can get the maker's info off the card, then you should be able download the driver & see if that fixes it. My Soundblaster drivers usually come in an EXE file I just open from the desktop. Wish you were local, I got a buddy that'll get it sorted for a pack of cigs & a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper.

I think to save money, Ford makes the floor so they can build either a auto or manual model w/ the same part. Mine already has a floor shifter so that shouldn't be an issue. Recent article in Mustang Enthusiast covered it. In their swap, they picked up all the parts from a junkyard for $500. Same article claimed that between the tranny swap & changing the exaust to Bassani X-pipe, they gained 22 HP at the rear wheels. Their car was an '02 w/ 4.6 V-8

You know about destroying the planes on the flight deck (except one you jack)? Once you take off, leave the Hydra in vertical mode & head for downtown SF staying low & between the buildings. I call this "running the glass canyons", & the AI can't handle it. Once you eliminate the other planes, take out the boats at your leisure. Enjoy the friendly skies...

Right click the folder for GTA & go to PROPERTIES, it's at the bottom of the window. I think the GXT editor goes into the same folder as GTASA.EXE, I think RaDi0N would know this as most of my GXT experience is in Vice City (I do that one in my sleep).

Sounds like you lost the driver for your soundcard. If you have a disc, try reinstalling it. If not, go to the card's manufacturer website & download one. If you have AVG or similar, run that as it should catch most viruses. If not, at least download the free version form there website. They support the free one w/ regular updates. I did have one a while back (before I installed AVG)that got by, called F***MEDUDE (actual name of the virus), it attacked my video drivers & my user profile. A quick way to find out how your box is equipped is DXDIAG, click START then RUN... There type in DXDIAG & it'll give you a window w/ tabs to check out. Good luck.

Have you saved after you used any cheats? R*'s little present, cheats screw up your save file.

You buy another game!!! But seriously, try seeing how high a level you can get w/ Ambulance/Firetruck/Police/Taxi missions. $1Million Vigilante is at level 168. Beat your best times in the races, things like that.

Mini golf shouldn't be that hard to code, there's the driving range in VCS. I liked the RC stuff (except for the puny fuel tank in GTASA "Supply Lines" on PS2).

You need to find an Asymmetric (left & right different) model for CJ, The one used now is Symmetric (left & right the same). So far, Catalina is the only model I've found in the game that's asymmetric. Personally, I'd like to find asymmetric girlfriend models. I know there was an asymmetric model for Tommy in VC, but it won't work with SA. Maybe someone modeling will see this & be inspired.

Quez - Just keep practicing. zege7 - your crash problem probably has to do w/ the "no cd" crack you're using.

By patches, I presume mods. Take a minute & look at the README file that should come each one. Also look at the MODDING forum for the GTA you want to mod (patch), you should find tutorials related to your mod. If you're still stuck, post back here. Tell us the GTA you want to mod (if GTA San Andreas, V1 or V2) & what mod you're trying to install. There's a lot of people here & someone should take notice, just tell us what you're working with. If you're working w/ SA V2, you'll need the DOWNGRADER before you do anything w/ your script or models. Good luck.

Either way, post your results. It might help out someone else w/ the same problem.
