  1. Maybe the lower resolution is so they can market to a wider audience. Not all of us have the HDTV setup & R* & Xbox know it. I don't know about the rest of you, but between rent, car payment & monthly bills, I appreciate the break.
  2. This reminds me of the "Sky Scraper" maps from Unreal Tournament, looks interesting.
  3. So, what are the details of your mod?
  4. The game only supports a certain number of cars so you have to pick one to replace. Try to keep them similar to each other, like replace vans w/ vans, the number of doors (replace a 4-door w/ a 4-door). This becomes obvious when you see how they are used by the game for missions. Putting 2-door cars in place of 4-door cars will screw up some of your side work like fire & vigilante missions. you can replace a 2-door (like Blista Compact) w/ any car or truck. Crossing vehicle types (like a car for a bike) will cause the game to crash. It looks like you have all the right files covered, you just need to pick one to replace. Remember - STEP 1: BACKUP ANY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! Good Luck.
  5. There's another near your savehouse in Palimino Creek, next to a boat dock. They both open up when you have access to the full map. The one by the light house pays $10,000 & the other pays $20,000. Nice money for a weekend.
  6. Take a minute & look at the MODDING forum for the GTA you want to mod & look at tutorials. There are a few on swapping models. Just remember - STEP1: BACKUP EVERY FILE YOU PLAN TO EDIT!!! If you still have problems, give us details, which GTA, the model you want to use, what tools you're using, etc.
  7. Start here & look for the GTA you want to edit, under TOOLS http://www.thegtaplace.com/pafiledb.php
  8. Some should have played "Short People" by Randy Neuman over this. That would make it complete.
  9. SkyliИe, your package is ready. If you want anything else special, just post it here & I'll get you hooked up.
  10. Maybe an undercover cop that also gives Niko missions or rescorces, like a contact for vigilante missions.
  11. Unless he's talking about the older full size blazer. http://z.about.com/d/4wheeldrive/1/0/A/O/P...P_0706THUMB.jpg Not saying I'm old, but I remember when these were the only blazers out there.
  12. ?!?!?!?!?!? I think my machine's broken, it looked like you wanted to remove weapons form GTA. Seriously, you'll probably need a script mod. W/ the hookers, you would also want a ped model to replace the ones that walk around. The hooker trick would be a matter of removing the bit of code for them. I have only messed w/ SA scriptmods, but would like to learn a little about GTA 3 (& VC). would appreciate if someone could point me to the right script editors & savefile editor for GTA 3. And back to topic....
  13. Just dusted off GTA 3 my self. You get stuck, you know where to find me.
  14. And another hello to new members. If you haven't yet, take a minute & look around the forums a little. If you have questions about your GTA, look in the appropriate forum, it might save you some time.
  15. Not bitchin, just think R* could have done a little better job of porting to the PS2. You want bitchin, we can go over the "Official Strategy Guide" for VCS on PS2.
  16. Does anyone have any links to the news source?
  17. Do the plugs in a V-6 Lumina, you won't feel so bad. SkyliИe - Actually your Uncle's truck sounds like a good candidate for a flatbed.
  18. Nice Colt, Silberio, take care of it. Here's my .45s. Figure they count as Colts as they are licensed copies of the 1911 design. The top one is an Auto Ordinance (same makers of the Tommy gun). It's had some work done & is capable of routinely hitting bulls eyes at 100 meters. It's probably the most accurate hand gun I own. The bottom one is a pre-WWII Essex. Might be an old gangster gun, I kept this one stashed in my car/truck when I delivered pizza. It's probably the most reliable hand gun I own. I'll presume the missing post from last night was a glitch in the system. It was only the comment to Silberio "Nice piece, now I'll have to show you mine.
  19. Disregard my previous answer, I don't know why but I was thinking rampages. I've hit $1,000,000 bounty on Vigilante at level 162, this gave me about $200,000,000 total cash.
  20. draftermatt - I'll give you that one, blowing up Fort Staunten was a bit much. I still think "Stowaway" & "Area 69" were more in the Spy vs Spy category. "Demolition Man" was more industrial sabatouge than terrorism. The goal was eliminating rival business. DARKAL (the mission strand removed from GTA 3) would have hit while the 9/11 attacks were still fresh in everybody's mind. I think removing it was a good call at the time.
  21. 35 Which of your friends do you have to rob to complete the game?
  22. I responded yesterday to Silberio & my post is gone. Looked in today & found tilly posted where it was, what gives?
  23. The answer I was looking for was Adam Furst (Spelling?) He called (I think to "Area 52" talk show) in for a minute & talked about hang gliding over the desert. Fernando was also there, but had more of a significant part on one of the talk shows. Pass.
  24. Be surprised the CLP is worth so much (we're used to Mexican Pesos up here). WWYDI he made bail!
