James Bond was played by 6 six actors ... They were all great, but who fitted the most in James' character ?

IMO Pierce Brosman is the best bond, I just love the acting and his lines, also his attitude with the females is the best compared to others. I've seen few movies without him as Bond but I like him more as James ... I like him just for the fact that he did a great job in his JB movies

I haven't seen yet Casino Royale so I don't really know how well Daniel Craig fitted the character ... Hope I'll see it soon ...

Thanks Wikipedia for the pics & info ...

I loved Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, a really gritty actor with a look to match - much more of a hands-on man, so he gets my vote. However, I think the film let him down - the lack of gadgets and the big chases kinda deflated it a bit.

Before him, Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery were the much more suave Bonds we've all been used to for so long, but this a lot less realistic than in the new film.

Overall, Brosnan was the most Bond-like actor, but Craig was the best personality for a much more realistic and real 007.

I think Craig did an awesome job as Bond in Casino Royale. The only weird thing to see was because it was so much more action packed (to provide the audience with more visceral thrills (lol media studies) ) than any other Bond film that's why it didn't seem like Bond to some, he still did a great job though and was critically acclaimed.

Brosnan was pretty good too, I enjoyed his 4 films as Bond.

Timothy Dalton was ok, but not as good as the two above. George Lazenby only did one, and that was even very good anyway.

Roger Moore was alright, but Sean Connery was better than him, and he was the original.

I HATED Daniel. He was totally NOT bond like. Actually, if I'd just bumb in the middle of the film I would have never guessed that it was a 007 movie.

IMO Pierce Brosman was the best, he's everything a real Bond should be and have somehow.

Yeah I sort of agree - he was a great actor in the film, and he really brought something extra to it (ie masculinity), but he was very different from the lanky suave suited bonds of years gone by.

Pierce Brosnan FTW. Ignore the awful Tomorrow Never Dies, all the other films are brilliant, especially Goldeneye, which IMO is the best Bond film ever. Daniel Craig is a great Bond, but he can't be considered the best Bond after 1 film - if he proves it over the next 2-3 films, then he could overtake Brosnan.

Some of you guys probably don't know the Bond books but of all the actors, Craig is the Bond that actually is the best portrayal of the book Bond. The book Bond was rugged and serious. The actor Bonds, besides Craig, had more of a sarcastic, easy-going, witty side. Craig's Bond had it too but he was more rough.

He was excellent as Bond and I don't get why people don't like him. He almost exactly how Bond is in the books, minus the haircolour, but people get stupid about him being blond. So what? It's not the haircolour that makes the character better. It's the guy who's acting.
