What was the mod specifically? Ive had trouble with san andreas mod installer for some mods (maybe a bad mod) but a motorbike one (anything that would replace PCJ600) didnt want to work

Maybe since ur card is Geforce 2 MX...not totally DX9 friendly - it would be "compatible" , but maybe GTA:SA is just being a whore or your operating system is reporting that it has 32MB or 16MB or something. Other than that, its that u dont have DirectX 9.0c which u can get HERE Or its the drivers (which you say are corrupt)... What internet do you have? (eg DSL, dialup, cable) *********edit im about to find the newest drivers and give direct link are you running XP if you are then click HERE !!! to get the exact driver for your video card. if this is corrupted, then theres something else wrong with your computer

Im looking at gtaworldmods atm for a XY, but idn if i can find a XY ok theres a XB (mad max vers) and a plain XB and a "interceptor" XB, with like a yellow/blue/red paintjob

Hmm yeah processor is the biggest factor I think, then graphics then RAM. Ur vid card is PCI ??? That would be the first thing to upgrade (your mobo) so that u can take advantage of PCI-E (or AGP for that matter) cause that will increase the rate that the graphics communicates with rest of system... i had the same sorta problems (like u had/have) with Vice city, but I had a lot of car mods even though the comp was good then (2ghz p4, 768ram, fx5200 256m, 80gb hdd)it still lagged sorta...or it would keep re-drawing stuff, but even if you are at the same distance, you look at it and it draws, then fades, then u cant see any walls n stuff...retarded. That was on 800x600 with like 3/4 draw distance. Yes probably it is... I think so anyways... At least that way you try something out to really tell if you like/dont like it. Now you can say that you've tried it and didnt particularly like it...thats just life. U like some things, hate others, then theres the third category that u might hate/love but you know they HAVE to be done (like paying taxes ) Dw about it, if you had other (lazy) siblings you could say to your parents that at least you got up and did something rather than staying home on the dole or some shit. Well no longer do I have a 6280 problem, now got a shiny new Nokia N81 (not the 8GB version, the one with mem card). kicks major ass for music w/playlists, artists, albums, like iPod does, 5band eq with customisable presets (like iPod CANT do) + loudness effect (not on iPod) stereo widening (not on iPod)... Umm, plug n play compatibility, WLAN. You can drag n drop music on the card from your computer (without nokia software), just into the folder. Then say refresh and it finds all + sorts into artist, album, composer, genre etc. And it has Nokia Maps (some GPS type thing, plan your journey while at home, then save it to phone, then let it tell you where to go, how to get there) Me happy

LOL... Ya exactly right. you should have just made a backup ISO (like I do with heaps of my games) keep the ISO on the hard disk, then put the disc back in the cover, and leave it there. If its proprietary then umm ... it should have either a recovery partition? or recovery disc? Check device manager... start > run > devmgmt.msc to see if theres any conflicts / problems..expand all the categories (click the plus) and post back here if there are any yellow question marks [?] then check if you have drivers for this stuff.. First things first 1. is it optical or bluetooth or r/f or umm laser if its optical and its doin that, then you've likely mistreated or dropped it or thrown it at a wall in anger bluetooth probably a driver issue rf would be interference from a wireless access point / phone (depending on if it uses 2.4GHz or a different wavelength, my dad had this problem but i had no idea at the time) Do you still have the CD that came with the mouse? (If any ) That will have the drivers for the mouse which will probably fix your problem if its not a physical problem Since you've already tested on another port, and the other mouse dont work... Perhaps ur USB card (internal PCI card) is farked & you need a new one. use mousekeys (alt+shift+numlock) then go to settings and fix the speed to full and accel to full. now u use ur numpad (hopefully ur not on a laptop) Test any other USB devices (usb flash drive) on these same ports that dun work with mouse, then if they dont work, its the USB card so go buy one (USB 2.0 PCI card) from a store or computer shop or online (i dunno where in USA - but i wouldnt go to a dept store (in aus) cos they prob dont have what ur lookin for)

Exactly, its only a little more than a week old...this would be cool.. Although, didnt edisoncarter (the guy who found heaps of cheats for GTA:SA) get a cheat for totally empty streets except for gangsters fighting...lots of fun for driving around, but i reckon it would get boring after a while. a street packed full of cars would be awesome, especially for rampages / getaway's from cops / army...imagine the tanks driving over heaps of pedestrian cars to get to you then you run the other way
