I have a patched mobo, (a couple capacitors blew last year) & currently have to keep the side cover off w/ a desk fan blowing into it. You could look at your board for any sign of bulging in the circuits, mine were obvious. Even new parts can be defective.

Everybody else is killing people, stealing cars & blowing stuff up while MLL takes 'Wee Willey for a walk. If Liberty is an accurate characture of NYC no one will notice.

I just hope it's more accurate than the one for VCS, that one was an epic fail. All Brady did for the PS2 version was put "PS2" on the cover of the PSP book. Yes, they are different.

I think that's my plan. The annoying part is my pre-order was in on time for the October release & now the money's been refunded & I may or may not (most likely) get a copy. (Insert lots of cussing here.) If I do end up w/ a second copy (X360) I may put it up for sale to members in Australia or some where it's been banned for whatever it cost me plus actual shipping, won't know until next week.

I've read that Niko has a parking spot near his flat, does that fix his car like the old garages? Speaking of wanted level, is there any word on whether changing Niko's clothes affect a warrant?

I doubt R* would sell a "Beta" version of their games, they're pretty insistent on quality. I think Claude was supposed to put the ice cream trick by a police station. The Darkel strand ended w/ Claude flying a plane into a building. GTA3 was originally set for release in late 2001, then 9/11 happened & R* decided to radically overhaul the game, removing kids & old people & clipping the Dodo's wings. So far the Darkel script code hasn't surfaced. the name "Claude " was used somewhere inside the game, when that came out (probably found in the course of a script mod) it just stuck. You can also see the nose of a LCPD car in the school bus pic. The Bus probably got a makeover after 9/11 & I think the cop car was definitely re-made. NYPD took a huge hit that day. As for the other cars, it's an ongoing process getting them ready for the release. It'd be nice if the models showed up for mods.

That would be more of a new model for the building, depending on how big the inside (currant) is compared to the outside. Might be better to just do the first floor & have an ENNEX (bouncing yellow marker) to access the rest of the building.

I've played SA almost daily of of & on since it was released & there are still a few details I need to look up. Some of us have lives OFF the computer. Remember that & YOU might not get ridiculed. The confusion from this issue comes from the truck having a different display name (the one you see when you get into the truck) from the one used in the DATA files inside the game. (Thanks for the headsup on where to find the truck, RanX. I just usually just snag 'em outta traffic around Angel Pine.)

A few of us have been messing w/ this, limited success. Some of the cars just can't be "painted" because of the way the model is mapped (I think in the DFF part of the model). The Bandito can be added & takes hydraulics, nitrous & wheels but won't accept colors. The same w/ the Hotknife & it won't show paintjobs either. I'm currently working w/ some of the smarter members on this. There's a Transfender mod that adds a lot of cars to TF, but some just won't work. Boats, Planes & Police Vehicles are barred in the MAIN.SCR file. The bikes can all be added but hydraulics won't work & if you add nitrous you crash the game. They can all be painted at least one color.

It could be placed in San Fierro bay, off Santa Maria in LS or part of a bigger mod to put a seaport in LV.
