Sorry I can't be more help, it does sound like a bug. The only thing I can think of is to un-install the game, defrag your hard drive (to make sure you get rid of the old files) & re-install. You can back up your game saves found in MY DOCUMENTS/SAN ANDREAS USER FILES.

Loosely related - I finally figured out how to throw a brick! When you're close to something you can pick up like bricks, hit the left bumper (X360, same button to buy hot dogs), aim w/ the left trigger & throw w/ right trigger (or it might be the "B" button). I've noticed hand-to-hand is awkward at best. Get the gun....

Well, your warranty's FUBAR so you might as well look for another one that died from RROD & use the drive out of it. People open them up & void the warranty. Option 2 is to have authorized tech fix it & pass the bill to whoever slammed it in the first place.

I think the Steam link Chris mentioned also has a R* package that includes GTA3, VC, SA, several Midnight Clubs & a couple others for $56 (US). I saw something about that a couple months back & would get it myself if I didn't already have the GTAs. The best thing is it's legit.

Make sure you're putting your new wheels in the right IMG file, there are several. I trust you remembered to back up your original files before you started to save having to reload. This may be an old headache w/ IMG tools, the "REPLACE" option. When I was modding VC I read a lot of warnings that it didn't work. Open the IMG file & use the FIND option to find the original wheels. They should be at the bottom of the list (new files go to the bottom). If you end up in the middle somewhere that means the original never got deleted & the game sees it (yes it will still run, it just ignores the second one). Delete the original & REBUILD ARCHIVE. i want to know how to have cars and weapons automatically spawn in a parked spot cuz im gonna make a spot were there is a (on the coast) airbase were rustlers ,hunters ,hydras spawn (also were peds spawn and walk around) Vehicles/weapons - See first line of previous post. Peds - Done w/ path editing, not sure how (yet). Deji - Looks nice. For what it's worth, I just hit 100% complete w/ my own mod & it runs stable, all missions work so yours should too.
