WRX22B1998
Can i run on this laptop TravelMate TM5520, 15.4", AMD TK57, 4GB, 160GB, DVD+-RW, Bluetooth, Vista Home Premium depends on the video card, but most likely on low if at all. Damjan
But where's the video card in the description?
WRX22B1998
Yeah thats what i meant. if the video card is good (like a 8600 or better) then he will be able to run it on low otherwise i doubt it.
_Ray
umm...nVidia 9800gt (although its a bit old), nVidia GTS250, nVidia GTX275/285/295, ATi 4870, ATi 4870x2, ATi 4890. thats basically it, theres more but i dunno if they would run GTA great (eg nVidia 9600gt, ATi 4670). Ya, I'd say the GTS 250.

WRX22B1998
I'm running :3.20 GHz Duo core 3Gb RAM Asus EN9800GT 512Mb Windows Xp Service pack 3 yep you'll definitely be able to run it. hey i heard that most games now dont really take advantage of quadcore / are more reliant on video card, is that true? so i would be better off buying a high end dual core (like e8500) rather than a quadcore... ? _Ray
I'm running : 3.20 GHz Duo core 3Gb RAM Asus EN9800GT 512Mb Windows Xp Service pack 3 Absolutely. But not High Settings. Also remember that HDD performance may affect the game, and that you should disable any background programs before playing to free up resources. GTAIV uses over 80% Constant CPU Usage with a Q9550. For the first two, if you magically could get it to start, you'd still be waiting for the first frame to load by the time GTA 5 came out, and your PC would have commited suicide by then. Also, those two hard drives together would be able to hold a whole 1/2 of the GTA IV Installation.
geran30
GTA is very heavy on CPU, ive got a Phenom II X4 940 overclocked to 3.6ghz and it uses a good 80% also im on windows 7 64-bit so it isnt helping but still, it's also a ram hog, i order ram and i got 2gbs and the other 4 didnt arrive and i tried playing gta with 2 gigs and it ran like crap lol. Huckleberry Pie
Can I run GTA IV ? Probably on medium. You have more than enough RAM to run it, although I'm not that sure if your 9500 can give out decent results. And a quad-core can significantly boost system performance while running IV, too. _Ray
GTA IV can be played on highest Details and graphics, if u have the following similar machine or + :- Intel core 2 duo, 2.4GHz (2.0GHz is ok) 1 GB RAM for windows XP, 2 GB RAM for windows Vista 8GB to 10 GB Free hard disk space VGA Card:- 256 MB VRAM, Nvidia Geforce 7800 or Better, Shader Model 3.0 Supportable recommended These are the DAMN SURE requirements cuz my cousin works in Nvidia company and he mailed me these requirements and after few days, similar requirements are also posted in gta4.tv website What? My friends' Q9550 on Medium graphics was always used over 80% and he had the traffic on like 20%.
GTA Index
Hello Chris! Here Are My Requirements : Memory RAM : 4.00 GB Processor : Genuine Intel® CPU 2140 @ 1.60 GHz 1.60 GHz Dual Core OS : Windows Vista 64 Bit SP2 Graphic card: MSI Nvidia N9600 GT My GTA IV Is Too slow to play Please help, tell me which thing i need to upgrade i think i've dual core 1.60 Ghz 1.60 Ghz so 3.2 GHz And I Think Everything is fine but it's too slow please reply. thanks
Girish
You do NOT multiply the clock speeds. A dual core means that each core individually runs at 1.6GHz and that is not enough for GTA IV. The first and foremost thing to do is to upgrade your CPU. If you do not wish to upgrade and have adequate cooling, you can overclock your CPU to 3.0GHz. That should give you a decent performance boost. I think I told you this already on GTAF...or was it someone else?
will99
Here we go: OS: Windows XP Professional - Service Pack 3 32-bit Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600 Series Processor: AMD Sempron Processor 3100+ Free HDD Space: 30GB RAM: 512MB Would this stop me from installing GTA IV successfully? Including Games for windows LIVE and RGSC? I pesonally think I have a bit of updating to do. Edited August 26, 2009 by will99
Girish
As I told you on GTAF, it might not stop you from installing the game, but it will definitely stop you from running it. But I guess you need a second opinion. Don't expect anything different from what I said though.
will99
k thanks. I posted my specs on this forum before the gtaforums. I think I'll just buy a new PC, instead of upgrade my GPU and processor. I also need more RAM, so yeah. Thanks for your help. I'll take your word for it.

WRX22B1998
according to the internets, your laptop would have this video card: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics RS780M with up to 1918MB So, in short. Nope. since that video card is pretty fail, the processor is also only 2.2ghz dualcore. That is good enough but not the video card. I think it's safe to say, unless you have a dell XPS or another gaming laptop (asus G50 etc) then you wont be able to run GTA4 on a laptop, or if you can only on low settings. What do you guys reckon?
