What's wrong w/ giving Vice City & San Andreas a similar makeover to the one Liberty gets in GTA4? I'd like to re-visit Vice on a larger scale.

If this is an honorable person, a simple PM should straighten this out.

You should be able to, you'll need to know the name of the engine sounds (several are used for each) used for each. In VC it was a simple swap if you knew the names & I expect SA to work about the same. There should be an audio editor for SA you could use listen to them.

Make sure your drivers are up to date, it sounds like configuration issue.

Nice. Does the article mention anything about GTA being a descendant of "Lemmings"? I caught that from another recent "History of GTA" piece, (I think on Gamespot ?). Either way, looking forward to the scans from a mag that doesn't publish around here.

Make sure the MAIN.SCR is compatible w/ the save games. If one of your mods includes a script edit, that's your problem. Every time something changes in the MAIN.SCR, it throws off something in the way SA saves games & makes the old ones incompatible. Since you can start a new game I'd guess that's what's wrong.

"Borrowing" a Patriot 101. Get armor, a camera, Desert Eagle (minimum 100 rounds & Gangster skill) & a parachute. It helps if you completed the paramedic & vigilante missions. It may also help practicing the route from the SF navy base to the Pay & Spray next to Wang autos. As long as you stay outside the gate you shouldn't trigger a warrant. Get the Voodoo across the street from Cesar's house & go to the airport in Los Santos. Park along the north wall & use the car as a stepladder to get over the wall. You should find a Dodo nearby, tune the radio to KDST (if not already on it) & enjoy the irony when "Free Bird" plays. Get some altitude & fly to SF. You want to approach the carrier from the East, & jump. Your landing zone is the east end of the carrier deck, this prevents cops from spawning behind you. For the ones that show up in front of you, your Desert Eagle should be good for one-shot kills. Clear them, pull out your camera & use it to find the photo icon above the bridge of the ship in the radio masts. This is the hardest pic to shoot in SF. Back to business, get the DE out again & run straight off the side to the south, landing on the dock below & next to the Patriot your after. Again, stick to the East end & clear the cops. Once that's done run for the truck & make a bansai run for the Pay & Spray next to Wang autos. Enjoy your new car.

By the time you get to her the map is completely open so you should have all of your oysters collected. For those who don't know this one, you can collect them all during "Reuniting the Families" just before you enter the Jefferson Hotel. Warrants are turned off for this mission & you can go anywhere. If you have all oysters, the GFs don't care what you look like & you get "instant action" after dates. Kiss them 1 time during the date & give them a gift, flowers or the "toy surprise" from the LSPD HQ shower. For dates, she usually likes to go for a ride. Take a Freeway or a Wayfarer (often found by her pick-up point) & keep your speed about the same as AI cars in traffic. For eating she likes the Diner just East of her town. I think Barbara's dating time is 10PM - 6AM.

(Presume you meant jet packs) Yes jet packs are real, but due to their (lack of) fuel efficiency they can only stay airborn for around 20 seconds. For the next buzzkill, one of the early reviews last year (can't remember which one) confirmed no tanks in GTA4. The good news is that they said that before the release was pushed back & R* has been tweaking it ever since so there MIGHT be a surprise.

10/10, how often does that happen? The next 2 weeks won't pass fast enough. Wish I had some $$$ to buy the stock at the beginning of the year, but I won't spend any on it as long as EA is pursuing it. If they do force Take Two into a buyout I expect the stock to be worthless by the end of the year.

Deji is on the right track. Windows can be a little lazy & after you un-install & you need to defreg your hard drive to permanently get rid of the old files. I ran into that one myself & when I recognized my hacks to some of the DATA files. I un-installed again & defregged. When I re-installed this time I had a clean install. good luck.

Close. I found the last bit in VEHICLES.IDE sets what wheels you can use on the vehicles, if you look at some of the aircraft you'll see the same code listed for the Transfender wheels, "0". Lines ending in "-1" won't show the wheels option in mod garages. The other sets are for LL & WAA. I'm in the process of sorting this & would like to put out an extended carmods mod. I just stumbled across something in the flags of HANDLING.CFG, colum "ag" it's at the end of each line & should read " 4000002". This bit sets if a car is a "street racer" or "lpwrider". I haven't messed much w/ this yet but it might put you in the right direction. Of you still have problems, post your line (just for the Sultan) back here & I'll see if I can help. If you have a "rent to own" shop in your area, you could get a 360 from them for a month. Save the bill & file a small claims lawsuit against MS for poor support of their warranty. There's a good chance they will just pay a small RTO bill instead of sending someone to your city to answer the claim. It's kind of petty, but at least you could pay back some of the headaches to MS. You might even back the money you spent renting a replacement console while they dink around w/ yours.

It sounds like you picked up a bug. If you don't have a decent anti-virus, at least get AVG free (free, legal) & run it. If you still have problems you might have to wipe & reload your computer. It's a bitch but sometimes you just can't avoid it. The worst problem I've had w/ AVG is things like trainers can give a false positive for viruses, something to do w/ key-logging used in trainers looking like a virus. Anyway, I've used it for a couple years & haven't had any major bugs in that time. Chris82 could probably give you some better suggestions & might even know how to avoid the wipe/reload, he knows his stuff on this. Good luck.
