The Bossman
ATM, it's a mixture of Michael Jackson songs, and songs from The Wire: Way Down In The Hole (opening credits to The Wire) - The Blind Boys Of Alabama Sixteen Tons - The Nighthawks Assume The Position - Lafayette Gilchrist Step by Step - Jesse Winchester I Walk On Glided Splinters - Paul Weller Fast Train - Solomon Burke The Fall (closing credits to The Wire) - Blake Leyh Beat It, Rock With You, Thriller, The Way You Make Me Feel, You Are Not Alone, Heal The World, Man In The Mirror, Remember The Time, You Rock My World, and Earth Song. All by Micheal Jackson. BTW, his album sales are now through the roof. His CDs are selling out in every shop. They're supposedly going to become collectors items now. Also, the prices are going up in the shops as well. Hey, you'd do the same, right? I'll look for some links to those Wire songs right now. Shortened version of the 1st song, opening credits - 2nd song - 3rd song - 4th song, 30 second preview - http://www.imeem.com/artists/jesse_winches...tep-lp-version/ 5th song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Eau5KLGMMk 6th song - 7th song - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFziuty23Q4...feature=related Edited June 28, 2009 by Bateman. MishoM
Pretty fly - The Offspring Hahah, an all time classic. I do love 'The kids aren't aright' by the Offspring though. Definitely in my top 20. Also like: Feeling this - Blink Buck Rogers - Feeder Stan - Eminem Snow - RHCP Don't Mug yourself - The streets High - Feeder Lazy Generation - F ups (Burnout 3 soundtrack) Lose yourself - Eminem Stay together for the kids - Blink But that's not in order, nor complete, by any means. Just wanted to mention, Eminem is originally from Detroit (I live in the metro) and my French/creative writing teacher knew/knows Eminem. They both used to work in the same pizza shop whilst she was going to college. Apparently he would come in high a lot. One of my mate's dad also knows him. The city of Detroit isn't all that far from where I live, probably like 15-25 minutes or so driving on the highway. Kinda cool. That being said, I also like both of those songs I bolded, especially Stan.
LDoubleU
My all time favourites are: Stan - Eminem Beautiful - Eminem Numb - Linkin Park Dammit - Blink 182 Lazy Generation - The F-Ups Year 3000 - Busted (shut up it's awesome and you know it) Brimful of Asha - Cornershop Re-Wind - Craig David Red Flag - Billy Talent Rusted from the rain - Billy Talent

The Bossman
Quite a few currently, all from the magnificent American TV show, The Wire: Way Down In The Hole - all 5 versions, by The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Tom Waits - which is the original from the 1980s, The Neville Brothers, Domaje, and Steve Earle. Assume The Position - Lafayette Gilchrist Step By Step - now one of my all-time favourite songs, by Jesse Winchester Feel Alright - Steve Earle Fast Train, another stone-cold classic, by Solomon Burke I Walk On Gilded Splinters - Paul Weller The Body Of An American - a fantastic Irish-American song, by The Pogues Efuge Efuge, again another great song, and entirely fitting, by Stelios Kazantzidis The Life, The Hood, The Streets - Mullyman The Fall - one of the greatest end themes for a TV show, by Blake Leyh. I'll post video links to them tomorrow, if possible. Step By Step is almost impossible to locate, so not that one. If you've heard it, you don't need any reminding about it. It's probably one of your favourite songs as well. And I gotta re-quote this, from MishoM. I don't think anyone noticed it before: Just wanted to mention, Eminem is originally from Detroit (I live in the metro) and my French/creative writing teacher knew/knows Eminem. They both used to work in the same pizza shop whilst she was going to college. Apparently he would come in high a lot. One of my mate's dad also knows him.
