Plo Koon
I didn't like it how on the PS2 and the Xbox on how their was no big map like on GTA VC but i know that it was a older game but still it would of helped to get a bigger map to see where you were. But now i have the PC version of it and now i can actually see where i am actually at and stuff. In other words i thought it was a pretty good game. What did you dislike about GTA 3? Slavik Von Stockholm
Radio stations. They were so short! Barely anything.

tommy vercetti guy
-Claude did not talk -So many mysteries, where is Donald Love, what happened at the end with a gunshot, etc. -The army carried multiple weapons, but only used one. -when i drove very fast in a car, the smoke repersenting damage would dissapear -bat and fist could not do damage to vehicles -no poppable wheels -so many rumors like being able to drive the full winged dodo, Carcer city, Darkel being ingame, tunnels at SSV opening up at 100%, etc OFFTOPIC: did anyone see the beta screenshots of GTA3? There was a beta Claude and he looked like an asian man

deadmanjeff
i didn't like the pedestrians they were boring and stupid i hated the drowning in water thing also hated not being able to fly in planes oh and hated that boats had no radios
Dave Yak
I hate not being able to shift the camera angle manually when you're driving around. I'm so used to that with San Andreas. GTA III could have used motorcycles. Drowning was dumb. Having no assets made the game boring. GTA III .... ALWAYS RAINING, that is the MOST annoying thing about it. Chris
What the hell this topic is nearly a year old! I'll let it go anyway since GTA3 is a bit inactive right now...geez. I disliked the lack of bikes and helicopters.
mvi
That was only from playing Vice City though. I disliked the atmosphere, the grey fog it was annoying.
Slayer
Atmosphere, Claude is stupid and won't jump out of the burning vehicle just because the vehicle's not completely stopped. That would usually end up in waking up at hospital. Edited April 4, 2006 by Slayer
PHRobertson
The only things that bothered me about GTA3 at the time were the drowning and the inability to exit an about to explode vehicle unless it was completely stationary. The fact that there were no Motorbikes also bothered me as I love Motorbikes, which is why I looked forward to Vice City so much when I found out it had Motorbikes. That's also the reason why Liberty City Stories on PS2 is such good news for me, although I do hope they will add at least some of San Andreas's features to the PS2 version (Swimming mainly). C.O.D
- Yeah, Claude couldn't get out of a car like how Vercetti/CJ can. - Claude is tounge-less. - Yeah the atmosphere was not good, the first time I played GTAIII, I thought they only have 2 atmospheres (evening and midnight). - The rain-all-the-time was not so bad, but the rain effects were crappy, I wish they had the rain effects that the True Crime had. - Can't damage cars with hands/bats (what the hell?) - The city was big, but how the hell can you raom around it, if each district is filled with gang0bangers who hate you and want to eat your heart??? - That is all But I think GTAIII's cops are one of the most inteligent of the series. The Driver
The targeting in the game, Claude couldn't shoot anything even if it was right in his face! I am glad he got shot at the start of the game.
Artur
Not being able to swim was a big thing because there was a lot of water and I wish they had helicopters and more "flyable" planes in the game. The first time I played GTA3 I was amazed but after playing VC and SA I noticed some of the things I wish it had that the other two game did. I haven't played LCS yet and I am wondering if it has some improved features in it (I already know about the motorcycles though) that GTA3 needed. Wheelman101
the damn dodo was way to hard to fly the cars were way to light some good radio statiosn some missions were stupid and the character was "silent".....
C.O.D
- No Bikes or Helis. - Not enough weapons. - There was a plane, but it was very hard to fly on the PC version. - The fog effect was irrational. - Pedestrians dive to the direction of your car when you drive near them, they were supposed to dive away from your car. tommy vercetti guy
What sucked (before playing GTA VC, SA, LCS) -Cant swim -After doing most of the missions, 7/10 of the city have gangs attacking you. To make it worse, the gangs have AKs and SMGs. Even worse, the mafia has shotguns and can kill you easily with one shot. -Unfair justice system. Like above, when the gangs attack you, I shoot back, but then you get a wanted level and the cops chase you. -Impossible to find Mr.Whopee after doing the El Burro mission "I Scream You Scream" -Purple Nine Glitch -Also bout the gangs hating you, if you havent done getting the hidden packages and doing the rampages, its going to be very hard as the gangs are trying to kill you -Dodo hard to fly -Couldnt fly helis or the real planes -its hard to buy guns from annumation without buying another gun. Say you want to buy a sniper rifle and and the sniper rifle is in the back of the room and it is surrounded by a shotgun and a UZI. You have to buy either the shotgun or the UZI to get the sniper rifle -Lock on icon was faint and hard to see somtimes Edited June 27, 2006 by tommy vercetti guy
evabin2libertycity?
- Carl Johnson was white and spoke in an English accent (seen in the final dog food mission) wut?!!!??? show pic or sumthin! -Purple Nine Glitch i forgot wut that was can u tell me? tommy vercetti guy
Its when you load a saved game where you defeated that mission where you killed all of the purple nines. Anyhoo, After you load the saved game, you go to the "create a new game" option and choose it. The game then sets everything back to starting, so 0 hidden packages found, 0 rampages done, 0 missions done, 0 vigilante missions done, etc, but the game forgets to make it so that purple nines appear again. So yeah, thats it, they dont appear and you cant do the D-Ice missions whice involve killing Purple Nines, but you cant kill them if you cant find them. The way to avoide this is to start the game without the memory card, then, after the game is done and you can play, put the memory card back in and you should be fine as the game never loaded the game with the dead purple nines save file. EDIT: and that wasnt Carl Johnson in that mission. Just because his first name is Carl, it doesnt mean he is Carl Johnson. Ryder's (from SA) first name was Lance (Wilson), but that doesnt mean he is Lance Vance from VC. The girl on the radio's name was Toni, but she isnt Toni Cipriani. That guy on K-DST's name was Tommy, but he isnt Tommy Vercetti. Get it? Edited June 27, 2006 by tommy vercetti guy

Get it? oh yeah i remember that happening but i didnt know wut the hell was rong So in other words, after Carl Johnson took over all of San Andreas for the Grove Street Families, he decided to marry Denise Robinson so that she could restore custody of her three kids and he never moved back to Liberty City? I started to play GTA III again because of GTA: SA (I got GTA 3 for my PC in the Christmas of 2002). Now I guess I'll have to uninstall it again and hide it in my "barely played games shelf." wtf???!! wen did this happen??? ur confused. and confusing Edited June 27, 2006 by evabin2libertycity? tommy vercetti guy
It didnt happen, the guy said that Carl Johnson was that guy in the last dog food mission, but it wasnt, just another person thats name was Carl, besides, they never said hs last name was Johnson, and even if it was, Johnson is a very very very un- original last name so millions of people have it even though they arnt related in any way
