Jack Thompson reaches out to Take Two exec's mother

How far will Jack Thompson go? He has surprised us before with some of the most ridiculous arguments and court cases, but this is something I have never expected. Jack Thompson has sent a letter to Strauss Zelnick (Take Two's executive) mother with some pretty harsh wording.

The pornography and violence that your son trafficks in is the kind of stuff that most mothers would be ashamed to see their son putting into the hands of other mothers’ children, but, hey, your son Strauss has recently assured the world that he is "a Boy Scout, everybody knows that." I’d love to see the merit badges that Scout Troop handed out. Is there a Ted Bundy merit badge? If so, your loving son deserves one now. It should be red and green, for obvious reasons.

This is just one insulting paragraph out of the whole letter. Sadly, there are a lot more. Jack even references the Bible.

Shame on Jack for making such an idiotic move. The funniest part is is that it will do absolutely nothing. Read it here.

Love the way he refuses to believe that stores are selling the game legally, and only to adults. Also, and no age verification online? Hmm... how about... needing to be 18 to own a credit card anyways?

Agreed. That's why there are rating systems, Mr. Thompson... The problem with Jack is that he is more on throwing rawther harsh words on people than giving proper and sound advice... I hope this guy would shut up and do something more productive than ruining some person's day...

Man he is stupid! It doesn't even make any since to do that. Such childish antics to tells someone's mother that they are upsetting him. Poor lady probably doesn't even know what is going on, just out of no where starts getting these harassing letters from some creepy stranger. She should not be getting harassed by sad lonely pathetic excuse for a human being such as Jack Thompson. Shame on you Jack "Boy Scout" Thompson.

MY GOD! WTF is this guy's problem? I hate him! I have ever since his shit about GTA III. He really needs to do some reseach. How many gamers actually do the things he says we do, or take it as the right thing to do? Who here EVER feels it necessary to kill a prostitue afterwards? For that matter, who EVER uses the prostitues at all? Jack is a complete pussy!

(Does anyone watch Stargate here? JT is another Senator Kinsey.)

The big problem with the opponents of the game is that they take everything out of context of the game world and try to compare it to the real world. Sorry but that just doesn't fly. In the GTA gameworld the cops are every bit as bad and over the top as the bad guys. How many times do you see a cop in the game go over and jerk someone out of their car and shoot them dead on the spot? I see it a lot. It often happens just because the person bumped their car into the cop's car. If that kind of crap was happening in the real world you'd see a lot of people shooting cops. There's really nothing realistic about the cop/badguy interaction in the game except that when you do certain bad things it triggers the police to come get you. But you can run a red light or go way over the speed limit in the game and all the cops totally ignore you.

The conservative fanatics get all worked up over it but there's nothing real about how the gameworld of GTA works. It looks realistic but it doesn't behave realistically. And that's because it's just a game. A game for adults that of course will end up in kid's hands just like their Dad's Playboy collection. That happens because some parents just don't give a crap about what their kids are exposed to. Blame it on the parents if the kids get hold of it not Rockstar for making an adult oriented game. It does have the rating on it plain as day so if the kids are getting it that's their parent's fault.
